Vicks VapoRub works in two ways:

Directions for topical use: Remove cap, twist the bottom to release the ointment.
Relief from nasal congestion and cough: Apply on the chest, neck back. Leave clothes loose for vapours to be inhaled easily.
Relief from minor aches and pains: Rub on the affected parts. Clean the applicator top with a tissue after each uuse and place the cap on.
Steaming Application Method: Twist the bottom to fill 2 teaspoonfuls of ointment and add into a bowl partially filled with steaming water (NOT BOILING). Gently inhale the vapours with a towel over your head and bowl. Closely supervise children to avoid scalding. Discard bowl contents after use. May be repeated up to four times a day
